How to select courses online?
 
At the beginning of every semester, we could get the new list of courses after new students’ registration and enrollment. The new syllabus of Chinese Language Courses and English-taught Courses would be loaded on our website, please take a notice of it regularly. We would also inform you to check the new syllabus of courses by email.
After new students’ registration and enrollment, our office would send email to inform you to select courses. Please wait for our email announcements. 
 
The online course registration system will be ready for use. You will then be allowed to enter the system and select courses.
A full list of courses can be found in the system. You cannot register for courses until you are matriculated. 
You could select Chinese Language & Culture Courses, English-taught Courses, Chinese-taught Courses from this system.
You could get your Course Registration No. at the beginning of the semester. We would inform you your Course Registration No. by email after your registration in NJU.

Click 登录 to log into the system.
 

3. Click the button of "English-taught Courses". Chinese Language & Culture Courses and English-taught Courses are all in this column.


4. Click the button of "add" to register the course you want to attend. 
 
5. If you want to select Chinese-taught courses, Click the button of  "跨专业选课" or "公共选课" if you want to attend the regular Chinese-taught courses. Choose the department/school in the drop-down menu and you will see the course catalogue from that department/school. Click the button of "选课"to register the course.
For Chinese-taught courses, you could click the button of  "跨专业选课", which refers to the  major courses offered by different departments; and the button of "公共选课", which refers to the optional courses besides major courses.
 
 
 
 
6. After you finish the courses registration, you may check all the courses you have selected by clicking the button of "My Courses Selecion"(我的选课).

Notice:
1. If you want to cancel the course you have selected, click the button of "Cancel" and "yes" shown by the red box.
 
2. For classrooms shown by Chinese characters, 仙 I = Xian I classrooms;仙 II =  Xian II classrooms;逸 A, B, C = Yi-Fu Building A, B, C
 
3. Course registration and cancellation could only be done within the first two weeks of a new semester. After that, the system will be closed and no further operation could be done in the system.

Courses for Exchange Students
 
Please note that most courses are now taught in Xianlin Campus. 
If a student is absent from class for more than 1/3 of the semester's total class days, they will not be awarded their certificate of completion.
 
Chinese Language Courses
 
Nanjing University offers all students the opportunity to attend Chinese language courses. Courses of all levels (Elementary Level, Intermediate Level, and Advanced Level ) are offered. Chinese Language Courses aim to improve students’ Chinese language ability and help them to overcome language barriers. Students are required to take a Chinese proficiency test before starting Chinese language classes. And then students will be divided into different classes according to their Chinese proficiency and their test scores. Students with no knowledge of Chinese language do not need to take the test. Simply please register directly for Elementary Level courses. Students would be provided with a card of Chinese language class by Institute for International Students. Please carry the card when you go to have Chinese language courses.

English-taught Courses
 
English-taught Courses are offered by different departments/faculties of Nanjing University. It is also open to exchange students. The course list differs from each semester due to NJU academic plan, please refer to our website for newest updated information. 
 
Chinese-taught Courses
 
Chinese-taught courses are also open to ex !E got permission from professors. It is strongly recommended that the students with a very high level of Chinese language proficiency could attend this kind of courses.

In Xianlin campus, Xian I classrooms and Xian II classrooms are located in the public teaching building, and Yi-Fu Building is located in international college, as shown by the red arrows in following picture.

Where to have courses in Gulou campus?

Teaching building in Gulou campus is near to Hankou Road Gate. Institute for International Students also has the classrooms in ZENG Xianzi Building. Some of the other departments also have their own classrooms. Please take a notice of the syllabus to find the right classrooms for you.
