International Student Exchange Program

 

 





International Student Exchange Program is based on bilateral university-level agreements. NJU has established exchange programs with over 150 partner universities from various countries. Each year NJU welcomes around 200 exchange students all over the world.



WHY NJU

Nanjing University, located in the historic city of Nanjing, has played a significant role in the development of China for over 120 years. As one of the nation’s oldest comprehensive universities, Nanjing University consistently ranks among the top universities in China and remains at the forefront of Chinese higher education.

 

Drawing upon its enduring spirit of pioneering and innovation, Nanjing University has led the way in higher educational reforms throughout modern Chinese history. The university has developed education and teaching theories which have a lasting impact on higher education both domestically and internationally. Notably, Nanjing University was China’s first higher learning institution to introduce co-education and enroll female students in 1920, advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment through higher education.

 

As one of China’s leading universities in global engagement, Nanjing University is among the first Chinese universities to attract international faculty and enroll international students. Incoming students can take a variety of cross-disciplinary courses from Liberal Arts, Law, Business, Foreign Studies, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Chemistry, AI, Earth Sciences, etc.

WHAT CAN I STUDY

On the condition that the relative language requirements are met, an exchange student at NJU can apply for the following courses with tuition waived:

l  English-taught content courses (undergraduate level & graduate level)

l  Chinese-taught content courses (undergraduate level)

l  Chinese language training courses

 


HOW TO APPLY

To apply for the exchange program, you need to contact the international office of your home university in order to be nominated as an exchange student.
